When you mention high-salt blood pressure, everyone will think of "control salt." It is true that salt has a great influence on blood pressure. Recent studies have found that "sugar" also has a major impact on blood pressure. To some extent, the effect on blood pressure is more than sugar.

The study found that a high-sugar diet for two weeks can have a major impact on blood pressure. 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring showed that a high-sugar diet would increase systolic and diastolic blood pressure by about 7 mm Hg and 5 mm Hg, respectively. This is much more affected than sodium ions, which affect blood pressure at around 4 mm Hg and 2 mm Hg.

Maternal women should pay more attention to the fact that diet can affect the expression of genes. The diet during pregnancy or lactation is more likely to directly affect the child's health after adulthood. Studies have found that high-sugar diets during pregnancy or lactation, the expression of genes involved in offspring will be affected, leading to an increased risk of hypertension in adulthood.

Although high blood pressure is not a single factor, scientific diet is the most effective form of prevention.

Therefore, we must not only limit salt, limit sugar, but also achieve a "multi-faceted" healthy diet. While reducing the "sugar salt", eat more vegetables, fruits, low-fat foods, eat less or not processed foods, and keep away from sugary drinks and other foods with high sugar content.
